one of my first auction finds needed a lot of love, but amazing craftsmanship made it worth every minute. cracked top removed, repaired, and reattached with clips to allow for seasonal movement; entire piece stripped and refinished with natural finish Danish oil and wax; badly chipped drop-leaves were trimmed and re-routed; drawer reconstructed and runners and stop-blocks adjusted; now ready for another lifetime of active use!

carefully executed repairs are a part of the history and character of the piece and no attempt has been made to hide them; it’s all brought together with the new finish and well-sealed with high-quality wax.
